Primarily playing as a centre half, Taylor was with Cambridge United as a youth player before playing two seasons at Royston Town. He then spent 3 seasons as part of a successful St Neots Town side before making a move back to Royston Town.

He moved to Cambridge City in 2021 and spent three years with them, making 107 appearances and scoring 14 goals.

Bury Town Assistant Manager Paul Musgrove said “Taylor coming to us adds another quality player to our side. He comes with good experience from playing at step 3 and 4 for several years, and that experience and leadership will be vital to us this season”

“We know that this season will be tougher than the last campaign. With an increase in teams and clubs making some good signings, we knew that we needed to add to our squad. Taylor coming in will strengthen our defence and also give us a goalscoring threat from set pieces.
