Suffolk Premier Cup Final

Bury Town travel to Portman Road, the home of Ipswich Town this evening looking to win the Suffolk Premier Cup for the 14th time in the clubs history. Bury take on Bostik Premier side Leiston, kick off 7:30pm. The Blues first won the competion in the first season it was competed for, 1958-59 by defeating Long Melford 2-1, and went on to dominate the competition by winning 7 of the first 8 finals. Town last lifted the Cup in the 2013-14 season beating Felixstowe & Walton United 4-1. This season we have defeated Newmarket Town, Brantham Athletic and Needham Market to reach the final, which switches back to Portman Road after being played at Colchester United last season.

Our opponents Leiston have yet to win the competition, losing in their first four finals so will be looking to lift the trophy for the first time.
