Regent in town for friendly

Image result for brightlingsea regent fcBury Town welcome Brightlingsea Regent to Ram Meadow on Saturday for their latest pre-season friendly against last season's North Division champions. The Blues remain unbeaten in pre-season so far with victories over Hadleigh United, Ipswich Wanderers, Braintree Town and Ely City and a draw with Leiston. The match will give manager Ben Chenery another chance to look over his squad and assess his remaining trialists.

Regent's last visit to Ram Meadow was probably one of very few low points in their championship winning season as Bury recorded a convincing 4-1 victory early last season. Regent will go into their first ever season at Step 3 when they take on Tooting & Mitcham United on the 12th August. So far Regent have defeated Little Oakley, Long Melford, FC Clacton, Brantham Athletic and Brentwood Town, while they have tasted defeat in two games against Chelmsford City and AFC Sudbury.

The Blues have a busy week of action with three games in a week starting tomorrow, with matches against Ipswich Town Under 23's and Needham Market to follow next week before the season kicks off against Romford on Saturday 12th August at Ram Meadow.

The admission prices for the match with Brightlingsea are £6 for adults and £3 for concessions with programmes available at £1.
