Peter Rogers wins £1000 lottery

Bury Town Football Club are delighted to announce that local gentleman Peter Rogers has received a cheque for £1000 from the Goalden Gate Superdraw run in partnership with Bury Town Football Club.


Peter who lives in Bury St Edmunds received the news earlier this week from the clubs Superdraw manager Mike Rayner he said “I was delighted to hear the news although it took a second for it to register with me.  It is only £1.00 per week and you forget your paying it to be honest, it is a lovely surprise and I intend to take the family away”


Bury Town FC CEO Michelle Banfield-Curran, said: “We have over 200 Bury Town members in the superdraw and this not only gives them the chance of winning cash prizes but benefits the club with a financial reward each month.  Our thanks go to Mike who each week works with the 3 local businesses to collect the fees, he is a valued volunteer at the club and helps generate over £4000 a year, which as you can imagine is a great help to us”

Mike Rayner who oversees the Goalden Gate Superdraw for Bury Town said “It is an excellent way of generating income for the club and for those taking part to win a cash prize. We would like to ask all those supporters and members of the community yet to subscribe to the superdraw to consider committing £1.00 per week,”
